For a limited number of senior management and technical positions, we employ people from outside the specific country of operation, whom we call “international expatriates”. Employment opportunities for international expatriates are classified as contract and trainee positions. ADRA's local offices may also accept people who wish to offer voluntary services in specialized fields, but positions held by international expatriates generally require a Master's degree or equivalent. In addition to fluency in English, knowledge of French, Spanish or other languages is often required, and always preferred, together with three to five years' experience in international development.
